BYD also dominated the podium among all registered battery electric models, occupying the top three positions in the ranking. BYD's figure of 656 cars exceeds the total of all other automakers (511 cars), demonstrating the growing confidence of Brazilian consumers in BYD cars.

"We are thrilled to celebrate a significant milestone in our journey toward a more sustainable future. Thanks to the support of our customers and the tireless dedication of our team and dealership network, BYD has achieved a remarkable increase in electric car registrations. This achievement underscores our commitment to providing innovative and environmentally friendly transportation solutions," highlighted Tyler Li, General Manager of BYD Brazil.

The BYD DOLPHIN has disrupted the national market with over 4,000 units sold in just two months, a historic record in the history of EV sales in the country. The BYD DOLPHIN EV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 150 km/h. As the first release in the Ocean lineup, the DOLPHIN incorporates many references to the sea and marine life in its design, both externally and internally. The model was developed by Wolfgang Egger and Michele Paganetti, renowned figures in the global automotive design market. It is the most energy-efficient electric vehicle on the Brazilian market, according to Inmetro.

The SONG PLUS claimed the top spot among the most registered plug-in hybrid models last month. BYD SONG's advanced DM-i super hybrid technology is ahead of its time, as it can switch between different usage modes. For short distances, it utilizes the electric system (for greater economy), while for long distances, it intelligently switches to hybrid mode, combining the thermal and electric motors, ensuring a range of over 1,000 kilometers.

In the overall total, BYD ranked as the third-largest automaker in terms of electric and hybrid vehicle registrations. With the boost in BYD sales, the market share of electrified vehicles also saw significant growth, reaching a historic mark of nearly 2.5% of the total registrations of light vehicles in the domestic market in August.
